Pregnanting

So, I'm in my last-mester of pregnancy. And I'm about to be really real up in this blog so, if you don't want to hear about the truths of pregnancy- just click away.

Swiss Army Knife. I'm pretty sure this little person has somehow fashioned a Swiss Army Knife out of amniotic fluid and is using it to dig its way through my right lowest rib. Remember that "Rescue Me" scene in Paul Shore's epic In the Army Now. (Don't pretend like you haven't seen it.) Yep, it's just like that. Also, occasionally the babe uses it to shove into one of my ovaries just to remind me that we are done having kids. Take that tiny eggs!

Ug sauce. I am feeling so incredibly ugly. I swear in the last 6 months I have aged 15 years. I used to be able to get away with chap stick and bronzer. Now if I don't get ready in the morning I look like this: click here. Not cool.

Neepers. When Dave and I first got married we had a dog named Barkley. He was a pug. He was unmanageable and he snorted and he was wall eyed. I loved him. I have some new pets that are just as free spirited and they are my sitting atop my belly. They are my boobs. And they are everywhere.

Peek-a-boo. I'm big and getting bigger. I recently got to the point where I can't see past my belly. As far as I know, my body goes- head, boobs, top of belly, toes. And that's all. I am not comfortable with not knowing how everything is holding up on the parts I can't see...

Pee-a-boo. ...Infact, if I didn't have to pee every hour I may have forgotten that I still have specials down there. My favorite is when I pee, wash my hands, the baby moves, and I am back on the toilet. And when I say my favorite- I mean the opposite of that. Speaking of which, if you'll excuse me for a sec...

Serious Condition. I am not lying in the least little bit when I say that I am pretty sure my baby has seizures. This kid is already practicing his krumping, no doubt, but at least 3 times a day it also shakes and spazzes uncontrollably like it's had too much coffee. It makes me nervous.

Harold and the Purple Crayon. When we got it's 1/2 way ultrasound and saw it's profile- he looked exactly like this. I truly believe the ultrasounds are telling. Miles did something hilarious during his and he is honestly the funniest kid I know. Faye's picture looked exactly like my sister, Celeste, and she still does. Newbie's profile screams Harold. And I can't wait.

My heart on my sleeve. I would like to think I would be a pretty good actress if given the opportunity, but I might be wrong. Lately people have been saying things like, "Are you okay?" "You seem a little down," and "Everything alright?" I have been a little sick lately, but I didn't know that I was also depressed until people kept telling me. So, someone tell me how happy I am. Right now and I mean it!

Professor Actual Factual. The truth is, as much as I love complaining about the woes of pregnancy- I am actually really excited to have this baby. And so are my kids.

Faye says: If it's a girl I am going to name it Tiger. And if it's a boy I'm going to name it Tiger.

Miles will leave little pictures of hearts or submarines for me and the baby all over the house. Sometimes the baby will get a special hug and kiss from one of the kids and every once in a while I can get Dave to feel the baby during one of it's dance sessions.

Dave says: Yep. There's a baby in there.

I can't wait to meet her. I can't wait to hold him in my arms. I can't wait to see her little tiny hand wrap around one of my fingers. I can't wait to watch him stretch his little arms out and not be able to reach the top of his head. I can't wait to see how Faye will love on him and how Miles will protect her. I can't wait to watch Dave look at her with love in his eyes.

I can't wait to meet you, little one. Come soon, but not too soon- keep working on those ribs until D-day.

Love you.

Prego Log baby #3

Week 4: I'm pregnant! And I haven't told anyone. Including Dave. He is out of town and I was hoping to surprise him with a big banner or something, but I'm not super good at keeping secrets...
It took 6 months, but those 6 months really helped me prepare myself for pregnancy and make sure that we were doing the right thing. I'm due April 10th! I'm so excited!!!!

Week 5: I'm pregnant! And I feel so good! Maybe this time I won't be sick!!!! It will be a med school miracle! Especially since we aren't telling anyone until we get to Utah in Sept.

Week 6: I'm pregnant! And feeling it. Today was my first encounter with the toilet- I had been holding back the puke all day and then I finally did to relieve myself and... it didn't work. I still feel like my insides want to be my outsides. My poor kids have literally been watching TV all day.
Oh, man. Lets hope I don't have to have IVs this time. I want my Mommy. I'm sooooo grateful for my Shaker friends. I would be lost without them.

Week 7: I'm pregnant and I want to die. Was it this bad the last two times? I'm adopting my fourth. No joke. I just started puking and I have an honest fear of food. I'm worried that the combo of those two things means IVs in the near future. Dave just left for a month long rotation in Erie. I'll see him on the weekends- which means I will be crying every weekday. Oh, and I woke Miles up by puking last night. Awesome.

Week 8: I'm pregnant with a baby! I saw him today. He is strong and healthy and alone in there. I was sort of hoping he would have a friend to play with, but it looks like it's just me and him. I'm not sure it's a boy, of course, but I'm pretty sure it's a boy. or a girl. Seeing him for the first time and watching his little heart flutter gave me hope and a better perspective about having this little person in me. I'm going to be sick- that is for sure, but I'm also going to be happy to share my life with another little person for the rest of my life. Can't wait to meet you!

Week 9: IV fluids. Why do I suck so bad at being pregnant?

Week 10: Improving on the puke scale, but still not feeling great. I miss the crap out of Dave and my Mom.

Week 11: This week we are going to Utah and get to announce to the families! I CAN NOT WAIT! Too bad Mama Suite is out of town until Sunday night. She and my Dad will undoubtably be the last to know. I can't believe I actually kept this kind of a secret from them. Utah here we come!

Week 12: Utah brings celebration and help. Did I mention how much I missed my mom? I heart family. And naps. And baby #3. We just decided we aren't going to find out what the sex is. Super excited!

Love you.

I'm pregnant.

Whoa, whoa! Don't read too much into that. I'm only pregnant according to my four year old:

"Mommy, I think you have a baby in your tummy because it is getting bigger."

Cool.

I worked out SOOO hard yesterday I thought I was going to pass out. And ate about 400 less than I normally do.

Thanks Miles for that swift kick in the butt.

Love- your unpregnant mother.

Why am I not laughing?

I have been trying to figure out why I am not funny anymore. I think it may be because I haven't had anything to complain about for a while and that always makes for a good read. I'm starting to worry that I am turning into an old lady. One that isn't interesting. Or funny. I'm not happy about it.

I'm going to try and recharge my hilariousness and take a look at some of my favorite posts from blogs past:

I said my son has Blue Legs.

Best Ever

Maybe you didn't quite understand

Who's complaining?

This one isn't so much funny, but it is still one of my favorites:

The Best Christmas Present Ever

And my favorite Movie Review:

Twilight.

I hope this can get me back on track.

Here, I am going to say the first thing that pops into my head:

George Carlin's ponytail made me second guess bringing children into the world.

Well? How did I do? Is the funniness back?

Miles is allergic.

Miles just spent the last two hours crying and holding his tummy until he discarded about a gallon of his insides- projectile style.

I must be getting lax in what I am letting him eat- although, I don't know where we went wrong.

I have sadness in my heart and in my eyes.

I'm so gross.

Faye woke up at midnight to play until 2 in the AM. I am so tired and cranky and cold. Miles just sneezed and a bit of clear snot came out. Instead of crawling out from under my warmth I got it with my thumb and pointer and rubbed the nast on my blanket.

And now I have to wash the blanket and have just created way more work for myself.

Sigh.

Public Announcement.

Dear members of Erie, PA-

I would love it if you could stop using the city as your personal ash tray. Especially when you are waiting to turn left onto Kearsarge from Wegmans where you have left a carpet of cigarette butts. It's sad and disgusting.

Lets be a little nicer to our lovely city, please.

Facebook Relationships.

I thought it was sort of understood that Facebook is a way to reconnect or maybe even get to know people from you past. Apparently I was wrong.

I just got Facebook dumped.

I went to elementary, junior high and high school with a charming young fellow. I have always considered him a nice, smart and even witty kid. A week or two ago he was rating some Netflix movies and I commented on a few. He commented back and I guess I thought that it was okay to continue conversing- mainly because he said "continue commenting on my Netflix posts."

Here's the rub-

I checked my Facebook notifications today and here is what I received as a message from him (in more or less words):

Why are we cool now and you didn't talk to me growing up?

Yeah, only here is the thing- I don't remember you talking to me either. In fact, I always thought you were one of those cool kids who knew something about the world that I wasn't in on and I had some growing up to do before I was hip enough to get it.

So there it is.

I just got Facebook dumped.

Spligsh happens.

Here are some of our Awesome Adventures today in order of appearance.

"!!!!!Dad!!!!!!Dee!!!!!" That is what was piercing my ear drums after we dropped Dave in Pittsburgh to fly home for cute Grandpa Cain's funeral. It quieted pretty easily with some apple juice. I decided that since both the kids were awake (and not currently upset) I would stop for gas and treats. Big mistake.

Twenty minutes Later. Both of my children aren't just crying, but screaming.

Some background information: for the past three days Faye has been more than sad. I don't know exactly what is wrong, but the only other times I have seen her like this is 1) when she had that super painful acid reflux when she was just little and 2) when she was in the hospital with RSV. Both times she stopped eating and I'm afraid that her intake of food is really dwindling and I'm trying not to get too stressed out about it.

So Faye is crying because something is terribly wrong and Miles is crying because Faye is crying and also he wants to go "pee in the potty." I try everything I can to make them happy. I'm pouring applejuice, I'm feeding bottles, I'm turning Nemo on, I'm tickling, I'm holding hands, I'm fanning faces, I'm getting toys and books out- nothing. It was too dangerous and they are both still miserable. I decide to pull off at the next exit and regroup.

After two pants changes and some hugs the kids are not crying anymore. With a sigh of relief I get back on the freeway and the madness begins again. It was awful.

And it stayed awful. I couldn't calm them down and I was starting to hyperventilate. You should've seen Faye looking up at me with red puffy eyes and the sup-sups looking for help that I so desperately wanted to give.

So there we were. The three of us crying our eyes out. It was pretty pathetic. I stopped crying when a van went speeding by and I decided to follow suit. I think we maxed out at 98 MPH. I was totally okay with it. Oh, And Faye finally fell quiet 2 miles outside of Erie. For those of you who don't know- that is two hours away.

It gets better. I get Miles out of the car and as I'm working on Faye I hear him mumble something about "potty." I look over and he is standing in a puddle of his own pee. Sweet. Off to the bath. He must have been eating some magical fruits because he is ripping cheeks all over the place. "Okay, bud, if you need to go poops- you tell me and you can go in the potty. Poops goes in the potty, right?" "Right." He smiles. I start to get Faye changed and

Spligsh. That is the noise that Miles is now repeatedly making when he reminds me that he had diarrhea in the tub- the sound he makes is pretty accurate. It was not my favorite thing. Clean up wasn't pleasant either. It had even splashed up on the shower walls. Nast.

It gets even better. Once I finished disinfecting the shower and the boy, I turned my attention back to my baby girl who had wiggled her way out of her diaper. Apparently I didn't finish putting it on before Spligsh happened. And then Bam! Faye pees all over. Yes! I was hoping to clean up bodily fluids again.

The rest of the day was spent making kiddos happy. Because that is what makes Mommy happy.

Ps. I miss you already Dave.

TV

There is something wrong with my television. Or maybe just with my head...

I love to watch people and so reality TV is fascinating to me. Here is the problem: I mostly love watching train wrecks. I watch America's Next Top Model because the girls on the show are so interesting and also because I can't look away from Tyra Banks. I have also found myself watching her daytime talk show while the kids are napping sometimes and let me tell you- it is awful. I am embarrassed for her.

I also felt this way watching American Idol tonight. Poor Paula. Somebody please stop giving this woman cocktails and botox injections before the show.

A Hard Day.

Feb. 3, 2009

Dear Diary-

I had my post-prego wrap up appointment today and I had both the kids. Miles was awesome. He charmed the nurses and the midwife and even went potty in the big person potty while we were there. Then he started getting tired and threw a fit when I tried to put him in his seat to go to Faye's doctors appointment, but he got over it pretty fast.

When we were at Faye's appointment Miles was awesome while there were fishies to look at, but when we went into the little room he was so naughty. Sometimes he turns into this little crazy person and it is really hard for me to be nice to him when he becomes what I call: "Monster Miles" or "M squared."

Faye is always a little sweetheart and spends most of her time sleeping. Today, for some sad reason, during her appointment, she cried. Hard. And while she was crying Miles climbed up on the doctor's spinner chair, turned off the light, and then fell off the spinner chair on his head.

Today I feel like I am just babysitting Miles and I can't wait for his parents to get home so that I can have some alone time. I thought I was going to get that time when Miles took his nap, but a few minutes after I put him down I heard a horrible crash. I went upstairs and he had pulled all of the clothes out of his drawers and tipped over the bin that holds them. I was so mad.

We sat up there until he cleaned everything up and then came over to me and gave me a big hug. "Mommy sad. I sorry Mommy." It made me cry.

It is hard when he is naughty, but he can be such a sweetheart and he is my best friend- excluding David, of course. I spend all day everyday with him and I love it, but sometimes I lose my cool and it's so not worth it. Will he remember me as his Mom who spent fun time doing activities and reading him stories or will he remember me getting upset and showing my angry eyes?

Love you,
Cicely

Prego Log: #10- Who's Complaining?

Give Me a [Potty] Break

I'll just warn you right now that if you are someone who doesn't want to hear about my shrinking bladder then stop reading.

For the rest of you, get a load...

I have been peeing so much lately that I'm seriously considering just setting up camp in the bathroom. I decided to count how many times I pee in one day and so I counted yesterday. The number was upsetting: 20 and a half. 20 times!! I woke up at 7am and went to bed at 11pm and during those 16 hours I peed 20 times. That's 1.25 whizzles an hour. And the worst part is- they are always just dribbles. Little tinkles. Never a good solid pee. It's annoying.

Are you wondering about the half? Yeah, one of those 20 times I stood up and had the urge to go again, but when I tried- nothing. Outrage I tell you.

"You're on the heavy side."

Those are the words that my doctor said to me when I asked him how much weight I gained in two weeks. "Four poounds," he said, "you're on the heavy side."

I'll heavy side your face.

Luckily, I saw the mid wife today and she told me that I am doing just fine. I made all of my remaining appointments with her.

Sweetie, I think something is wrong with me. I can't move my (add any of a number of body parts here).

Poor David. All I do is complain... "I can't move my back. My knee keeps failing. My boobs are ridiculous. I think my skin is turning green. I'm so fat. I can't put my shoes on. Can you get me some water? Will you go get Miles? It's your turn to change him. Do you even understand how hard it is for me to put his pants on? I'm dizzy. I'm tired. I'm full. I'm starving. I have to pee. I have to pee again. I need you to give me a little neck rub..."

Yep. I'm pregnant and my condition is getting worse.

Poor Dave.

You ain't nothing but a hound dog.

Another warning. Just don't read this all together:

If you are still reading and you have ever been pregnant before- is it normal to be crazy horney all the time? I'm not saying that I am, but a friend of mine asked me to ask you.

Friday, October 17, 2008

Blah.

That is how I'm feeling today.

I woke up unhappy. I thought maybe if I got out of the house it would help my mood.

Miles and I had big plans today- maternity pants shopping, zoo, nap, pumpkin patch, dinner. We went shopping and when we got to the zoo Miles had passed out. His sleeping has been quite erratic lately.

I need to turn my frown upside down. Hmph. I'll work on that.

Prego Log: #9

Well, I'm officially in my third trimester. It's time to sit back, relax, pee a lot, have my innards squashed, puke, and wait for my baby girl. Wait, puke? You're not supposed to be puking during the third trimester are you? Well, I am and I hate it. I'm hoping it is just a bad week and it will go away soon, but something tells me that its here to stay. And, sadly, Miles is already pretending to puke in the toilet again.

Here are some other things I forgot about the third trimester:

- Getting in and out of a car or off the couch takes focus.

- When David gives me a hug I have to bend at the waist to wrap my arms around him.

- Nakedness is not happiness.

- There is a little limb constantly pushing on my rib cage. It feels like a side ache that never goes away.

- I don't remember ever being so tired.

- Sometimes I'm absolutely certain that she is trying to claw her way of my uterus. Also, she is partial to back flips.

- I'm done having kids.

- I know that one minute with my new little person will make up for 9 months of woe.

- I'll do it again.

I'm too tired to write anything else. Good night.

Things that make you go hmm.....

Does anyone remember the C + C Music Factory? I do.

I have no intentions for this post. In fact, I just sat here for a good 45 seconds trying to come up with something to write. And nothing came to mind. I guess I will just pot some things I've been thinking about recently...

-I'm in the nursery in my ward. Today I was reading a story about dump trucks to a 2 year-old when he said this: "excavator!" How does this kid know what an excavator is? I didn't know what an excavator was until I read that book. How many other things don't I know that most 2 years do?

-The R button on my laptop comes off almost everytime I use it. It's awesome.

-Why do I feel bad that Miles doesn't know what an fork lift is?

-I wonder if my sister Sabrena ever gets mad that her childhood wish of getting a chocolate cake the size of the world never came true.

-I think I'm going to make myself a banana split.

-Miles wouldn't eat any lunch or dinner. Is it wrong for me to put him down for the night without giving him something to eat first? Am I starving my baby?

-I just started reading our book club book called- The Professor and The Madmad by Simon Winchester. I'm pretty sure I'm the stupidest person on the planet. I wish I was smart like Sabrena.

-I wish I was strong like Cassandra.

-I wish I was passionate like Celeste.

-I wish I was just like my Mom.

-I wish I could call my grandma right now.

-I really love my husband. Like more than a friend.

-Last night I had a dream that my belly got so big that David had to get a crane to lift me out of bed. And also most of my teeth had fallen out.

-This morning I wanted a crane to lift me out of bed. My teeth are still in tact.

-We stopped all TV watching and snacks at out our house. Miles is an entirely different person. I do feel bad that sometimes I down some marshmallows while he isn't looking, but I still do it.

-Sometimes I feel like if I wanted to badly enough I could write. Not well, but I could write. I could write my thoughts, my theories, or about my past and present and maybe what I want my future to become. I could put them all together in a random pattern and people could read them. Or not. And then I remember I have a blog. And I use it to do just that. I love blogging.

-I also love to say it. "Blogging."

Well, I guess that's all for now. I'm peacing out.

-Sister Cain

Prego Log #8: Whats up, Doc?

***I'm sorry if this music sacred anyone. It is a tribute to this post and one of my very favortie songs when I was a rocker.***

So, I finally made it in to see a new doctor. Believe it or not, I have another story for you:

It started off great because David had a break from school which meant I didn't need to find a babysitter. So, I was off. After I got there, signed in and waited for 15 minutes for them to call me back- they said that because I was a new patient they would have someone come in and do my "interview"- it was just a really long history. So I waited. And waited. And waited. And after 45 minutes, I decided that they must have forgotten about me and was about to step into the hall and grab someone. Just then the door opened...

It was a sweet little med student. "I'm so sorry," she said, "but we are going to have to move you to a different room. Things are kind of crazy right now." Uh... sure. That's fine.

"Sure. That's fine. Do you know how much longer it will be? My husband has to go back to school and I don't have any other babysitter lined up." I hoped that that would help move things along.

It didn't. She assured me that someone would be in shortly, but lied. Another 30 minutes went by.

Yes! A lady walked in with papers! She must be here to do my history! She set them down on the counter, told me that the nurse would come in soon and left. Blast.

Another 10 minutes passed and someone finally came to do my history. Which took 20 minutes. And when she left she told me she was sorry about the wait and that the tech would be in soon to get me ready to see the doctor. Awesome.

The tech only took another 15 minutes or so. She had me get undressed and sit on the table. I finally felt like things were turning around. How long could they make me wait laying with a half-robe covering my goods and a paper sheet over my legs on the table? Too long. I finally got up and started walking around. Time was running out. David had to get back to school for a quiz by 4:00 and it was 3:30! Two and half hours had gone by! Are you serious?! Come on people!

The med student came back in and said she was going to measure me before the doctor came in. She was sweet and obviously nervous so I didn't want to make her too upset. I kindly asked if she could help me get out of there faster and she told me that things really are never like this and that it would never happen again. She was sorry and she understood that I needed to get going in a hurry. She told me that she would be back with the doctor in five minutes.

Throughout the course of the appointment I would text Dave and tell him I was sorry and that it really shouldn't be too much longer. But, now it was 3:50 and so I called him. He was more than just a little frantic and I told him that I would just get dressed and leave. Right then the doctor came in.

He understood that we were in a hurry and seemed sincerely sorry that things had been such a mess. Apparently they just hired a new Medical Assistant and today was her first day. She was mixing up patients and doing all sorts of things to cause confusion and delay.

So, he did his business and I was off. It was 4:07 when I got in the car and 4:13 when I got home. I had a horrible vision of David missing his quiz and flunking out of med school, which in turn was giving me a panic attack. It got worse when I got stuck waiting for a train to pass.

Things worked out. David made it in time for his quiz and all was well. Barely.

Besides the time issue, I felt good there. Everyone was super nice and there were no crazy people telling me to hurry and get dressed because they didn't want the nurse to know that they had made a mistake. And get this- they didn't even ask me if I brought my pee from home! They did a very good history, everyone was very apologetic and the doctor seemed like he knew what he was doing. They even called me the next day to tell me sorry again for the time issue.

I'm sticking with them. Lets just hope it doesn't take 3 hours again next time or I’m having Dave deliver me. At home.

That is all.

Prego Log #7: Potty Training gives me a Potty Mouth.

I don't remember if I actually used any "naughty" words during this painful -sorry, let me try that again: horribly and utterly painful- experience, but I sure was thinking them...

We tried. I failed. Miserably.

I guess I will just have to deal with the fact that we will have two little people running around in diapers at the Cain home until I am ready to try again. And I don't see me being ready any time soon. Maybe I can convince Mama Suite to come out here and see if she can work her magic after Female Fetus comes. We'll see.

So, I'm sure you want specifics- everyone loves a good horror story- but I'm not going to give them. Lets just say this- my efforts were flushed down the toilet. Zing!

Prego log #4: Maybe you didn't quite understand.

So I haven't heard good things about OBs in this city and so I decided to look into midwives. I have heard really good things about one in particular and saw her about a month ago. I'll be honest- I was a little nervous, but she seemed competent and I felt comfortable in her hands (was that a pun?) Although, I wasn't comfortable with her tech.

So, tell me if this is normal...

We go in and the tech (we'll call her Her) is obviously nervous and our conversation goes as such:

Her: So, would you like to take a specimen?

Me: Uh, if you want me to.

Her: Ok. There is a cup in the bathroom.

-a few minutes later-

Her: So, would you like to get undressed?

Me: Sure, if you want me to.

Her: Great. The nurse will be in a minute.

- a few minutes later-

She opens the door with crazy eyes and I was worried for a minute that the building was on fire... and then she says this:

Her: I made a mistake!!! Put your clothes back on!!!! Hurry! Before she comes in the room!!

Me: Uh, ok.

Crazy Lady. Dave and I were trying quite hard to restrain our laughing until she left the room. But, wait- it gets much better.

So, I go back a month later and the same Crazy Lady comes to get me from the waiting room...

Her: Hi. How are you doing today.

Me: I'm fine. How are you?

Her: Fine. So, did you bring a specimen in today?

Me: ...Uh, did I bring a specimen in? No, I didn't bring a specimen.

Her: Oh, okay. So you forgot it?

Me: Mmm... No, I didn't forget it. I purposely didn't bring any pee with me. I'm not really comfortable carrying a cup of pee with me around town and even if I was I don't have any supplies at home that would allow me to do so.

Her: Hmph. Well, I'll just grab some for you so that you can take them for next time.

Me: No, no. I won't be doing that. I'll just come here and do it.

Her: Well, okay then.

Uh, are you kidding? Am I missing something? Do people do that all the time and I'm just unaware of it? I don't remember seeing anyone in the waiting room with a cup of yellow fluid, but who knows, maybe they stashed it in their purse.

Well, now I'm ready to rethink my decision. I guess when I start looking for someone who knows how to deliver babies I need to rethink the questions I should be asking. instead of asking "How long have you been delivering babies and how do you feel about C-sections?" I really should be asking- "So do I need to bring my urine from home or can I take care of that here at the office?"

Crazy pants.

My Brush with Death

Remember on Clueless when Ty is flirting at the mall and her boyfriends almost hang her over the edge?

I do.

This week has been rough. I've been sick. Really sick. So sick that Tuesday I had to go get sugarless Gatorade pumped into my veins to get me and The Fetus hydrated. It was a rough go.

Then, on my second bag, it got worse. I started shaking, coughing and felt like there was an anvil on my chest. The doctor came in and told my Mom that she needed to rush me to the emergency room to get tested for a blood clot in my lungs. Are you kidding me? I knew that it wasn't that big of deal, and that it would go away in a few minutes, but the doctor wouldn't listen. It was a bit ridiculous.

So, by the time we get to the hospital, I feel fine (other than the constant nausea, of course) and after about 6 hours and probably $6,000 in fees, I was free to go.

So, I, like Ty, had my brush with death- even though neither of us were really close to death in the first place.

Pardon Me- while I burst.

Alright, Alright. I know it's been a while.

Here's what has happened...

Good: Miles couldn't be cuter. He is becoming such a little boy. His latest thing is to make the gear shift changes for motorcycles. It's the cutest thing in the history of the world. I love that he is getting to the point that he is pretending with trucks and little people and what not.

Bad: My car got broken into. My guitar, my library books and DVD's, some medication, and the registration and insurance were stolen. They were nice enough to leave the paper napkins that I had taken to the primary talent show in the car for me. Thanks friends.

Good: My husband is the sweetest person alive. How he deals with me everyday- I don't know, but I love him more than anything on earth.

Bad: The other day it was a perfect spring morning and I looked out the window to greet the day only to find a dog taking a dump on my lawn. Of course, the man walking his dog didn't clean up after him and because I was in my knickers I couldn't go yell at him. So that was bad.

Good: The rest of the day I had the Popcorn Popping on the Apricot Tree song in my head, only I came up with clever lyrics about my experience that morning and it made me feel better about the situation. I'd share them with you, but David said it wouldn't be a good idea.

Good: I'm really excited to move to Erie.

Bad: I can't get motivated enough to clean my house- let alone pack it.

Good: Pandora.com is my saving grace. I have created the best ever station. If anyone would like me to share it with them- just let me know.

Good: David is a grad! I'm so proud of him. I will post pictures soon.

Good: David Archuletta is not Aletting me down anymore. He's in the top two! Although, did anyone realize that he forgot part of that second song? Why didn't the judges say anything about it?

Bad: I’ll tell you what did let me down was the sight of Mayor Dan Snarr's sorry mustache on national television. I wish they could've added an asterisk at the bottom of the screen that said- "This mustache is not typical Salt Lake City practice."

Good: I got to talk to Sister Cain on Mother's day. (That is my sister-in-law on a mission if you didn't know.) It was so nice. I miss her guts.

Good: David got me the best mother's day gift ever! Killer Bunnies is my new favorite game. Thanks again, Keiths, for the introduction.

Well, that is all for now. I'll post some new pics and hopefully something exciting soon.

Peace to the mizzax.
