100 Things To Do in Cleveland And Beyond: Activity 11

Activity #11: Cleveland Metroparks Zoo

This is Miles' favorite spot in Cleveland. He wants to go at least twice a day. I, on the other hand, have ethical issues with Zoos in general- but I push my inner hippie aside when it comes to the kids. Plus, we have three fish so I am totally a hypocrite anyway.

Right now at the Zoo there is an awesome animatronic Dinosaur exhibit. Miles and Faye have a love/hate relationship with the dinos, but as long as Faye doesn't get too close to the big ones and Miles doesn't get sprayed (some water sprays at the end of the exhibit) they enjoy their time with quadrupeds:

Here I totally captured the amazing technology of robotic dinosaurs...

More dinos.

And here is a random kid posing with us.

Have I told you lately how cute I think Faye is?

Miles' favorite dinosaur. He romps and stomps through the house with his two finger claws and his super grumpy face.

Not the best picture, but Faye really wanted to pet one.

I have a family here on earth.

Miles on a hunt.

Inside the wolf cabin. One of the only air conditioned parts of the zoo.

I love this picture of Miles. Can you tell how sweaty he is?

The Northern Trek.

Dave thought it was important to take a picture of a bald eagle. Probably for patriotic reasons.

I LOVE to just watch this girl walk. She sort of sticks her tummy out when she walks and she swings her arms... It's nothing short of adorable. I feel like I need a bumper sticker that says: my kids are way cuter than yours.

Bug eyed.
