100 Things to Do with kids in Cleveland and Beyond. #1-3

It's the Summer of Love, Love, Love. And I'm in love with the love, love, love. -B 52's.

Since we moved to Cleveland I have decided there is so much to do here that I am making it a goal to do 100 awesome activities before we move. I am calling it:

100 Things to Do in Cleveland and Beyond.
Starting now.

Activity #1: Preston's H.O.P.E. in Beechwood.

We see this playground off the freeway everytime we came into town from Erie and were so excited to go! Miles calls this playground "the AWESOME one with the diggers."

Check out the website here.

Smiles- Super fun park/playground. Plenty of activities for both little and big kids. Sandbox with fossil finder, great swings, a number of playgrounds, wheelchair accessible.

Frownies- Almost too big. My kids like to go separate ways and I can't chase Faye and still keep an eye on Miles. I need one adult per child to venture here.

Activity #2: Sulfur Springs at Metroparks South Chagrin Reservation.

We spent the afternoon at this charming little spot on the river. We thought it was so much fun! We brought some water toys and played at the shallow part of the river and then took a walk down the river bed and saw some waterfalls that the kids played in. It must be a hidden gem because everytime we have gone, not too many people were there.

Smiles: It's perfect for a hot summer day. We brought a picnic and ate at the picnic table and then headed into the water to play. It's shaded and right now the water is at a perfect level for little people.

Frowner (that made some smiles): We found some sort of a lobster skeleton in the water by the big waterfall. We have no idea how it got there, but it was pretty interesting and Miles (and David) loved poking it with a stick.

Activity #3: Memorial Day Parade in Shaker Heights

Unfortunately I lost all the pictures from this event, but it was a blast and the kids LOVED the parade. The Shaker Heights High School Marching Band, recognized nationally, marches every year. They were amazing. We will be going again next year for sure!

*This is a random picture of a kid. Not my kid. But it is my parade.

the only thing that would make these activities funnerer is if you had your own clothesline and weren't just jealous of mine.

Or "If we only had a wheelbarrow... now that would be something."

OK, it really does all look fun, and I was super impressed with Faye's letter finding skills.

Holden can tell me when his pants are wet and he still wants to poop, but i failed to catch it on video.

I love you Oblio.
