it takes H1 to kNow 1

I'm pretty sure that David and I had the swine flu. or not. But all the time we were sick- neither of my kids showed any signs of problems. Until now.

Faye is sick. Really sick. She is hardly eating and I'm sure she has a temp because she is really hot to the the touch, but my thermometer is broken- so I don't know how high her fever is.

David has a PBL test coming up which, for some reason, means that one of my kids will be spending time at the hosptial no doubt. It happens that way EVERY PBL test unless my mom is here and seeing as how she is on a boat heading for the Galapagos Islands for three weeks I'm doubting she will be able to make it.

So- what do I do? The doctor's office is closed until Monday. I really don't want to go to the ER. Given her history, I don't know if I am okay with waiting until Monday to do something about it.

Any ideas? Any thermometers that can be burned after using?

Too cool

So today I went to Ikea- which as cool as that is- isn't the coolest thing that happened to me. You be the judge:

I saw a joker hat and put it on my head and turned to Miles

Me: What do you think?

Miles: Not cool.
