Life in the Awesome Lame

Hey Friends.

Just wanted to share some photos from the last few weeks.

Look how cute this one is. My boys.

Miles has crabs. On his shirt.

Miles rediscovered his old carseat and now he likes to chillax in it and watch the signing time.

We had our new friends The Hursts over for some good times. They are moving to Erie with us and we are all excited to make some new good friends. As you can see Miles and Andersen are getting ready for bedtime while we play some games.

This is the best. My baby is extreme.

My baby is extremely tired.

Daddy and Miles go for a ride to the extreme.

That's all for now. Maybe soon I'll write something worth reading.

Pride and Prejudice

Ok. I know that some of you have not yet read Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen. This is the best novel written in English Literature. Now is your chance.

And if you have already read it- you know how good it is and you can read it again with me. This will be my third time.

My favorite thing about reading books like this is that I start to say things in my best Kiera Knightly accent such as, "It is of great honor to present an invitation to my company for such an exquisite read as this."

It's like after I watch Lord of the Rings I want to add "the winds of the North" to everything I say.

David does the same thing when we watch such great movies as Jessica Alba's hit Honey or everybody's favorite Stomp the Yard only he always says, "mmm... girl." He is really white.

Oh, and I know I'm lacking with blog updates, but I will soon and I have some goodins.

That is all.

Website-iggity.

Hello again team. I thought it important for me share a few of my very favorite websites with you because if anyone was withholding such awesome sites as these- I would want them to be shared with me...

Kid Fantastics.

Make and Takes. This is a website hosted by a friend of mine and a best friend of my sister Sabrena. It is fantastic! It is all about activities and fun things to do with your kids. If I could marry a website- it would be this one.

Martha Stewart has contacted her about doing some stuff for her show. Martha. Stewart. That's right! So, can't thing of something fun to do? How about homemade play dough. Want to throw out all your old crayons? No need with her recycled chunky crayon recipe. The girl is a genius. Go ahead and take a peek.

Clean Up.

My Flylady. Don't be fooled by the ghetto website. This woman has made me a whole new person.

Let me explain, I like to have a clean and organized house, but for some reason it doesn't stick. I will clean it in the morning and by nightfall the kitchen stinks, the toys are all over the place and I'm so tired I can't move. Well, that is how I used to feel. Now, I follow her "baby steps" plan and my house has been clean for 3 weeks and ther is no filthiness in sight. Three Weeks people! Try it. Please. I can't express my gratitute for the Flylady. I find myself having so much more me time- which leads me to my next favorite...

Book Club Blog

Now that I have all this time to relax- what am I going to do? Read, my friends, read. Expand my mind. Get whisked away to different centuries or planets or just stay here on earth and see what other people are feeling and doing and eating and loving.

So, I started a Book Club Blog. I would love to have you join me. If you are interested leave me a commment or drop me an email and I will gladly add you as a "blog author."

Tunes.

And last, but not least, Pandora. This is the music of the future. Create your own radio station and enjoy tunes that are only to your liking. I love this site.

I hope you find any or all of these helpful. I'm serious here- I feel like a brand new person. Good luck! And report back- I'm anxious to see how helpful they are to you.

Best Ever

So, after reading my hilarious husband's hilarious blog- I decided to try and top it and what better way than to show you the very best ever picture of myself.

I think I must be 15 or 16 and in my volleyball attire at this time and yes, David and I were together and yes, he does still love me. ...As far as I know.

I think you will enjoy this... I'm making you scroll down for dramatic affect.

If you are having trouble viewing this pic (and I mean trouble actually seeing it, not trouble looking at it) just image google "Cicely Suite". Can't miss it.

Man, I'm sexy.

I decided it would be best to put up a picture of me today so that you can see that I don't actually look like that.

I am now challenging any or all of you to post a horrid picture of you in your younger years- I'm tagging you if you will.

Good luck!

I am a vampire.

Hello all! Well, some good news: I'm out of my funk.

I thought I would celebrate by reading yet another vampire book. No, it's not a new Edward Cullen book, but it seems to be quite silimilar. It's like Twilight but sexier. My sister, Cassandra, recommended it. It's called A Quick Bite and it is written by Lynsay Sands.

If any of you have read it or would like to book club it with me- please let me know.

-Love your blood sucking friend, Cicely

A Unhappy Un-Birthday.

Miles decides he wants to look out the window.

David grabs on just in case.

Miles takes a climb down the other side and Super Dad saves the day.

Yesterday Miles turned 18 months old. He is really becoming such a little boy.

Yesterday morning Miles fell down our stairs. For the most part- he was a okay. He just needed his Blankie and a hug from Mom and he was fine. No broken bones or paralysis.

Yesterday evening Miles got bit by a dog. Luckily it didn't break the skin, but he does have some scratch marks still. That took more than his Blankie to get over, but after a while he was okay. He isn't even mad at or scared of Poncho. He is such a tuff guy.

Last night I had a mood swing. I wouldn't say I'm in a bad mood very often, but I felt so bad for letting these things happen to Miles- like I really don't deserve to have a child. And, for some reason, for the first time yet- I am nervous about moving. I booked our flight to Erie, PA which means we are really leaving. It is bitter sweet.

I wish I had a Blankie to cheer me up.

Cain Look-alike Meter

It lies. We all know that Miles is a Harry Potter: he looks just like his Dad with his Mommy's eyes.

MyHeritage: Family trees - Genealogy - Celebrities - Collage - Morph

Stay away from me.

Seriously. Everyone I come in contact with gets sick.

It is even spreading through email- so be careful everyone- this blog may be contagious.

Grab some cough drops and run.

Oh, thank you.

Oh, thank you David Archuleta for regaining my trust and my vote. I knew the adorable, fantastic, vocal talent hadn't escaped forever. Don't push your luck next week.

I think I'll write a poem for you.

I have some news for you to hear
I think it might help to spread some cheer!

So, what is it that I want to say?
I have a secret that is here to stay.

I’ll give you a hint- it’s growing inside me
And it will take quite a while before it’s beside me.

Everyday it gets bigger and stronger
It makes me sick- and it’s lasting longer.

What’s that you say? You think it’s a baby?
Oh, no silly- I’m not pregs not even maybe.

I have a sickness that’s worse than Miley Cyrus-
It’s living on my throat and it’s called a virus.

I know that you loved this- because I’m so cool
I’m a joker, I’m a rat, you might say an April Fool.

Yep. I'm bored.
